Wayne Gorbea y Salsa Picante blessed the stage in Club Sixx (Connecticut) on the night of April 19th. Many of the audiences were confused if they knew of Wayne or not, but once the music began, everyone's face glowed with excitement. Wayne Gorbea is from a Puerto Rican background and lived mostly in Manhattan and the Bronx. He began training in his early years and began with the violin and soon switched to the trumpet. Serving in Korea, he learned how to read music and taught himself to play the piano by copying Charlie and Eddie Palmieri and Richie Ray.

Alright, so I had a wonderful time last night! I love
dancing to Salsa, especially LIVE salsa music. Just hearing the live congas, clave, horn and timbales gets me going. Everyone in the club was having a fun time and the atmosphere was vibrant. The one thing that I didn't like about the night was when I was dancing, getting my groove on, and someone accidentally stepped on my foot. BUT I felt the heel go inbetween my foot bone...AHH!! OMG! It hurt sooo bad!!! So I woke up this morning with this pain in my foot and I actually couldn't walk that much. I feel that my foot is bruised internally. So now my foot is displaying that yellow/black and blue 'fashion,' lol. But overall I did enjoy myself and had a great time dancing till the wee-hours of the morning.
